2014 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
2014 provided the Willamette Valley with a long, warm growing season and ample ripeness.  With the meticulous attention to picking dates required by a warmer vintage, this wine displays plenty of fruit, while still being framed in a structure of balanced acidity and alcohol. The vineyard sources for the 2014 include 7% from Ingram Lane, 17% Abbey Ridge, with the balance coming from our Oracle Vineyard. The wine has a weighty flavor spectrum of wild raspberry, red currant and sweet spice. Fruit aromas are complemented by notes of sweet clove spice and the slightest hint of vanilla oak.  On the palate the wine is open and opulent, with loads of pure Pinot fruit, leading into a rich mid-palate and a balanced finish with a hint of well-integrated tannin. The wine was bottled without fining or filtration.  Aging and a complete indigenous malo-lactic fermentation took place in 100% French oak, with 15% new and 20% one-year-old barrels. The wine was bottled in September of 2015 after 11 months in barrel without fining or filtration. $26/bottle; $265.20/case.
